Free GRE mock test FAQ

Is this GRE mock test really free?

Yes. The timed Verbal section, your score estimate and the first worked explanations are free, with no sign-up and no card required.

Does it match the shorter GRE format?

Yes. Questions, timing and navigation follow the current shorter GRE: you can move between questions and change answers within a section.

What question types are included?

Text Completion (one, two and three blanks), Sentence Equivalence and Reading Comprehension, the three Verbal Reasoning question types on the real exam.

How accurate is the score estimate?

It is an estimate based on one section. A full adaptive test with both Verbal and both Quant sections gives a much more reliable 130 to 170 prediction.

Can I take a full GRE practice test?

Yes. Our full tests include the Issue essay, two Verbal and two Quant sections with section-level adaptivity, a score report and worked explanations for every question.

Can I take it on my phone?

Yes, it works on mobile. For realistic practice we recommend a computer, since the real GRE is taken on one.
